Default Comparative listing of PvE Equipment in PvP

Ever since the release of the summer update and the Introduction of green items it seems that if you want the best possible equipment you'll need to supplement your PvP Chars with some PvE items or Roll a PvE toon.

I wrote this list up myself for personal use so I had an idea on what items I should try to pick up.
I didnt include any staffs unless they offer some kind of advantage over a perfectly modded PvP Staff.
Also its possible to get rare gold items with better stats then some items on this list but the chance of getting such items are very very small and makes them unavailable to many players.

Standard disclaimer equipment doesnt make the player but any advantages a player can get helps

Anyways any additions or comments are welcome.
NOTE:20/20 one handed wands were on collectors in the FPE.
Comparison of PvE and PvP items

Tier 1 Huge Advantage
These Items offer a Significant Advantage over Standard PvP equipment

{nerfed}HoD Sword (+5 Energy +Mod)
{nerfed}HoD Axe (+55 HP one handed weapon great vs spikes)
{nerfed}20% Rockmolder (20% recharge on all Spells)
{nerfed}15% Firey Flamespiter (15 recharge on all Spells +Mod)
-5 Energy Weapon (-5 Energy)
CoA Scroll (-2 Energy +25 Hp +5 Armor)
Note:{nerfed} Items are still able to be used in game but can no longer be created thus making them highly sought after and very expensive items.

Tier 2 Advantage
These items offer noticeable advantages over standard PvP equipment.

10% Flamespitter (10% recharge on all Spells +Mod)
Victo's Bulwark (+30 Health always -2 stance)
Tanzit's Defender (Shorter blind)
Vokur's cane (20/20 Illusion Wand)
Wroth's Holy Rod (20/20 Prot Wand)
Garbok's Cane (20/20 Inspiration Wand)
Gordac's Hook Blood (+1 Blood attribute 20% more practical then 20% casting)
Garbok's chalice (+1 Inspiration attribute 20% more practical then 20% casting)
Nolani Fire wand (+5 Energy Always +10% faster attack speed)
Gingerbread/Peppermint Shield (10 AL no Req)

Tier 3 Small Advantage
These items have an advanatge over standard PvP equipment but the advantage is minimal.

Soulstone (Korean Boon Prot Focus +1 DF Attribute more useful than +5 armor, 15 more Conditional HP than PvP Divine Symbol)
Rago's Flame Wand (20% Fire recharge +10% cast)
Brohn's Holy Rod (20% Healing recharge +10% cast)
Gordac's Needle (20% Blood Recharge +3 Energy)
Flint's Wand (20% Water Recharge +3 Energy)
Korvald's Cane (20% Domination Recharge +3 Energy)
The Brimstone (+1 Air attribute 20% more practical then 20% casting)
Bortak's Bone Claw (20% Death Casting +3 Energy)

Tier 4 Tiny Advantage
These items are very comparable to standard pvp equipment but with the right build could offer an advantage.

Wroth's Icon (20% Prot Recharge +1 Attribute)
Stoneheart (20% Healing Recharge +1 Attribute 20%)
Kindlerock (20% Fire Recharge +1 Attribute 20%)
Villnar's Glove (20% Curses Recharge +1 Attribute 20%)

Tier 5 Niche items
These items are unique PvE items that in certain limited builds offer an advantage over standard PvP equipment.

20/20 Energy Storage Foci (combine with 20% Enchanting Weapon for buffed up Ether Renweal/Prodigy)
Fleshweaver (20% Recharge without 20% casting ideal for Spike)
Insightful Fires in the East Staff (Trapping Staff +18 Max Energy)
Req. Soul Reaping Foci
Req. Fast casting Foci
Req. Energy storage Foci

Tier 6 Better Stats but impractical
These items have better stats than PvP items but the actual stat bonuses themselves are impractical and make them less than ideal.

Galigord's Rod (20% Earth casting, 10% recharge)
Brimstone Wand (20% Air Casting +3 Energy while enchanted)
Villnar's Claw (20% Curses Casting +5 Energy while hexed)
Bortak's Bone Cesta (20% Death casting +1 Atrribute 20%)
Ivor's Smiting Rod (20% Recharge +3 Energy enchanted)

PvP Items with advantage
Items in Which the PvP items are Superior
(All of the below items were on collectors in the FPE)
+30 health always -5(20%) Shield (I see this becoming the standard PvP Shield)
Strength Req Enchanted Shield
Elementalists +27 Energy -1 Regen Foci

It would be +18 energy with a perfect insightful staff head.

You should make note somewhere in your post that the {nerfed} items still exist in the game for significant amounts of money. Just for reference.

Another item you can add in your list would be the Gingerbread Shield, a no req 10 AL shield that's unattainable by PvP characters. As well as the 10% attack speed wand.

You should also note that pve wands/rods are available with 2 mods, and PvP rods only get 1 (ie. a gold rod with 20/20 is far better than a standard pvp 20% rod.)

Candy Cane Wands deal 10-10 damage, without requiring any attribute. Another alternative to the 10% attack speed wand.

Being able to bring more than 2 bows is nice. I'd like to have Zealous Shorts and Flats (or Long, sometimes) and Vampiric Shorts and Flats (or Longs, once again), but I can't do that with PvP characters.

Except that you don't run wands on warriors for damage. You run them for adrenaline buildup at range.

extra armors/armor switch

ability to bring 4 customized weapons

A-net should let PVP characters have 4 weapon slots at the rolling screen and get wands have 2 mods. Better yet, just give players all the mods and let us choose 2 from them.

PvE rangers can carry more bows and a -5 energy bow for energy manipulation.

The Tactics version of the +30 health always -5(20%) Shield on the PvP screen is more powerful than what you'd get easily in PvE. For a strength req Victo's Bulwark is going to be stronger 95+% of the time.

Any PvE caster staff with 20% recharge but no fast cast has an advantage for coordinated spiking.

Peace,
-CxE

Global fastcast and fast recharge mods may be nice in the right build (E/Mo heal party spammer?) depending on what your team needs. Things like Vokur's Chakram and Morgriff's Staff have those mods.

There's a 0 requirement shield in pre sear that's 4 AL + 5>50% and +15 hp which can be useful on casters.

There is a Divine Symbol from a collector in Maguuma Jungle that is very similar in stats to the Soulstone. Personally, I think it is superior because it has an unconditional +30 health. The fact that it has +10 energy instead of +12 energy shouldn't really matter because you can focus swap if needed.

The collector offering this item is here: http://www.guildwiki.org/wiki/Genera...#Serah_Shae s

Fixed the Max Energy on the trapping staff
Added a description of the nerfed Items
Added Gingerbread/Peppermint Shields
Already had the Nolani fire wand listed

Already have a note on how gold items could offer superior stats but their rarity, scarcity, and variety makes them unavialable for many players.

Advantages of PvE Rangers
Armor/Rune Swapping
Larger Inventory of Bows
Focus/Bow Swap for Energy Reasons
Access to <20% and 20% while Hexed bows
Being able to control the Evolution of your Pet (this is insignificant right now but if Beast Mastery every becomes viable it could be important having a properly evolved pet is akin to having a superior weapons rune on it.)

Global fast cast and recharge is nice but typically its subpar compared to an 20/20 staff or wand/focus. whats to stop your E/Mo heal party spammer from using an 20/20 healing staff or wand/focus? In your example Brohn's Rod or a 20% casting healing rod might be better than the 10/10 rods.

The Divine Symbol might be debateable if its better than the soulstone but its inferior to the perfect version on a PvP char.

I would list the sword you get from charr at the gate in presearing. +5 armor is 8% less damage from armor based damage, which is not trivial, especially in you base focus swap where taking less damage is big. As many types of characters, while enchanted is the best conditional mod to have.

Cities of Ascalon, the same quest you get the -50 hp cesta from. However, there are two versions of the scroll: one with -5 energy for the -2 energy total, and one with -20 hp so you get +3 energy, +5 hp, and +5 armor.

Does fissure armor give an advantage over pvp armor as the other team is unable to work out what your armor type is? Maybe certain armor types are used in specific builds? I dont know much about pvp but it seems like a kind of advantage.

Its an advanatge only if you have multiple sets of fissure armor and can swap between them and even then the adavatage of is probably pretty small due to the limited varieties of armor.

It can usually be guesed what type of fissure armor Toons are wearing in PvP. If they are not wearing these sets then they are using suboptimal armor.

Ranger will be wearing druids
Warrior will be wearing gladiators with ascalon boots
Monk most likley full Tats (use to be cheaper than the other sets)
Ele probabaly Air if they built the toon with PvP in mind.
